Resolved: Edys - Sand in Ice Cream
I called Edys and told them about the sand, they said it is not sand but residue of vanilla beans. I felt a lot better that this is actually food and not some foreign substance.
They apologized for my misconceptions regarding their product and said they would send me a few coupons to show goodwill. I accepted their apologies.
I bought a tub of Edy's French vanilla ice cream last week and found after eating a bowl a lot of sandlike sediments at the bottom! I was quite alarmed and scooped out another bowl of ice cream and defrosted it...wow hundreds Of the stuff!
What does this mean! Help me please. I hope I am not being poisoned! I am worried because I served this to my grandchildren previously and did not notice the sand because they had it accompanied by chocolate cake.
What if this will affect us later? I demand to know what ingredient this is!
Since the tub was not sealed it makes me even more crazy! HELP

Lmao... you're a fool
Oh my gosh mine has "sand" in it too! First the strawberry and now classic vanilla.
I don't believe it's from "real vanilla" because the strawberry wouldn't have vanilla in it. I've been eating Edy's for decades and it's never had sand like substance in it before now. Very alarming!
I think something has tainted their batches. I might have to switch brands now!
You might want to *** the tinfoil hat...
It's not sand, its bits of real vanilla.
